Huawei Aims Smartphone Leadership in Tanzania

Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Huawei Technologies, announced the introduction of Ascend Y300 phone, in partnership with Tanzanian mobile operator, Tigo.

Built on Android software, the new handset includes features such a dual-cameras, dualcore 1.0GHz CPU and 720p HD video play, features that are uncommon in entry-level smartphones.

According to Peter Zhang, Huawei’s Country Manager, this will allow the manufacturer to reach leadership in this segment in Tanzania.
