The Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA) and TanzaniaInvest, the leading source of information about business and investments in Tanzania, have entered into a partnership to promote the visibility and understanding of Tanzania’s insurance sector.
The partnership creates a streamlined flow of information between TIRA and TanzaniaInvest, so the regulator’s information, data, and developments can be published and shared on TanzaniaInvest’s website and social media.
This information covers market developments, industry data, regulatory changes, sector performance, the structure and evolution of the insurance market, and business and investment opportunities relevant to businesses, investors, and other stakeholders.
For the general public, TanzaniaInvest will also disseminate information about insurance education and awareness initiatives organized by TIRA, helping extend the reach of these initiatives and making information on insurance more accessible to the wider population.
Commenting on the partnership, Dr. Baghayo Saqware, Commissioner of Insurance and Chief Executive Officer of TIRA, said: “The development of the insurance sector requires continuous engagement, information sharing and education of the public and other stakeholders. Our partnership with TanzaniaInvest will provide a strategic channel to communicate information about insurance, while strengthening the quality and depth of TanzaniaInvest’s coverage of the insurance sector through access to information, data and developments from TIRA.”
For his part, Eric Tirabassi, Chief Editor of TanzaniaInvest, said: “Businesses and investors need reliable and up-to-date information on the development and performance of the insurance market, while the general public needs access to information that can help increase awareness of insurance.
