World Boxing Federation Comes to Tanzania

Hall Of Fame Boxing Promotion is bringing World Boxing Federation (WBF) championship boxing for the first time to Tanzania.

On Friday August 30, as two WBF title fights will headline a big show at the traditional Diamond Jubilee Hall in Dar Es Salaam.

The event has been dubbed “Title Night In Tanzania”.

The main event sees one of the East African country’s most celebrated fighters, Francis Cheka, take on American danger-man Phil “The Drill” Williams for the vacant WBF World Super Middleweight crown.

Meanwhile Thomas Mashali and Mada Maugo will square off in an all-Tanzanian clash for the vacant WBF All Africa title in the same weight class.

The event will see the presence of former world Heavyweight Champion Francois Botha aka “White Buffalo” and WBF President Howard Goldberg.

White Buffalo intends to come back and invest time and money in developing boxing and boxing academy in Tanzania.

At the same time he sees great potential in the country for investment in other sectors of Tanzania’s vibrant economy.
