Manyara Region Investment Forum to be Held on August 22 and 23

Investment opportunities available in Manyara region will be showcased during the first ad-hoc investment forum to be held on August 22nd and 23rd in Tanzania.

Located in northern-eastern Tanzania, Manyara is one of the country’s 30 administrative regions.

The region’s economy is based on mining, of Tanzanite in particular.

Other sources of income include tourism with Tarangire National Park entirely located in the region, and Lake Manyara National Park.

The forum is also aimed at showcasing opportunities in agribusiness.

The event will see the presence of Prime Minister, Mizengo Pinda, Manyara Regional Commissioner, Elaston Mbwilo and Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) Executive Director, Juliet Kairuki.

Tanzania Inflation Holds at 3.2% in March 2026 as Food Prices Ease

Tanzania's annual headline inflation remained stable at 3.2% in March 2026, unchanged from February, as food and non-alcoholic beverages inflation eased to 5.5% from 5.7% the previous month. The monthly NCPI rose from 122.01 to 123.04, driven by price increases in fresh cassava, Irish potatoes, diesel, and charcoal, while core inflation edged up slightly to 2.2%, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
