New Hotel in Tanzania Tourism Sector Prepares to Open

A new hotel in Arusha is scheduled to open by the end of this month and will become the latest member of the Tanzania tourism sector business community.

The Snow Crest Hotel, an 83-room facility that is located in the Kwangulelo region along the Arusha-Moshi highway, has advertised itself as being the “Peak of Perfection.”

The new hotel is located approximately 7 km from Arusha and 45 km from the Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).

The rooms of the hotel are spread throughout three different wings that have been given names in tribute to various African heroes who helped to shape the face and future of the continent: Nyerere, Mandela and Kenyatta.

Each of the rooms have been said to be fully equipped with all of the features that a current traveler would expect to find on a trip for either business or pleasure including shuttle bus and taxi services, a gift shop, a Forex Bureau de Change, 24-hour room service, laundry and dry cleaning facilities, adequate and secure parking accommodations and wireless internet connection within the facility.

In addition to its 83 rooms, the hotel will boast a restaurant that has been called an architectural marvel.

The Mateti Restaurant will have the capacity to accommodate 120 people and has planned to host clients with various cultural backgrounds and identities.

The restaurant is located next to both the Hotel lobby and an open Multi-themed Kitchen that was created in order to accommodate even the most discerning palate with an offer of the highest standard of cuisine.

Along with its top quality rooms and dining services, the hotel’s website has also described the hotel’s lounge bar as being decorated with a distinctive theme of African warriors and providing service along with a blend of both international and exotic blends of drinks, quenchers and coolers.

The hotel bar has been designed in order to provide a calming environment for clients who are seeking an evening drink, a location for a business meeting or an after meal digestive.

In addition to its role as a host to tourists and other travelers, the hotel is also accompanied by a contemporary conference hall with the potential of being separated into two individual meeting rooms.

The seating capacity of each of the conference rooms, which have been called the Obama and Clinton rooms, is 150 people each, and, without partition, can host as many as 320 delegates.

Upon its completion, the hotel is anticipated to help fill the current gap in the hospitality industry in Arusha.
