During the First Franco-Tanzanian Economic Forum held in Paris on March 2015 and organized by the French Business Confederation (MEDEF), the most representative organisation of the private sector in France, French investors have shown interest in livestock and fisheries in Tanzania.
The remark was made by the Tanzanian Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Development, Dr Titus Kamani who attended the forum.
In particular French investors are eyeing genetic livestock technology, animal feeds and fish farming, which are areas of much needed improvement in Tanzania.
Organized at MEDEF’s Headquarters, the event sought to strengthen business communities’ relationship between France and Tanzania by discussing concrete projects and potential partnerships for the future in high impact sectors such as agro industry; transport infrastructures; energies, renewable energies and petroleum logistics; tourism; health; education and local content.
