Dar International Trade Fair Schedules Annual Event For June 2015

The Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade), organizers of the 39th annual Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), has announced that the two week event will be scheduled from June 28, 2015 through July 8, 2015.

The event, which takes place at the Mwalimu J.K. Nyerere Trade Fair Grounds, has become a trade hub for countries including Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Botswana as well as domestically for business communities within Tanzania.

TanTrade was established in 2009 with the mandate to implement the National Trade Policy, the National Export Development Strategy, the Trade Integration Strategy, and the Agricultural Marketing Policy among other policies with the intention of developing and promoting Tanzania’s internal and external trade.

TanTrade has been tasked with the mission of furthering the economic performance of Tanzania by developing and promoting goods and services to local and foreign markets.

According to TanTrade the DITF attracted more than 1,700 local and 500 foreign exhibitors in 2014.

Tanzania Economic Performance in 2025 Records 6.4% GDP Growth in Q3, 3.6% Inflation, 23.5% Credit Growth, 37.4% Gold Export Rise, and 2.29 Million Tourists

Tanzania’s economic performance in 2025 recorded real GDP growth of 6.4% in Q3, stable inflation at 3.6%, and strong private sector credit expansion of 23.5%, while lending rates moderated to 15.24%. Exports of goods and services rose by 10.2%, led by gold exports increasing 37.4% to about USD 4.7 billion, while international tourist arrivals reached 2.29 million.
