Tanzania and Uganda Launch Airline Partnership

Tanzania’s domestic airline, Precision Air, has now established a code share partnership with Air Uganda, the national carrier.

The partnership which came into operation this month covers two routes; Dar es Salaam – Entebbe and Kilimanjaro – Entebbe.

Under the agreement, the two airlines will both sell tickets and uplift passengers of either airline, while offering travellers with increased choice of flights between the two cities.

Commenting on the partnership Precision Air Commercial Director Mr. Patrick Ndekana added “We are also certain this partnership will support our government efforts to boost tourism due to the increase of frequencies which guarantee reliability”.

Precision Air is the leading airline in Tanzania and flies to ten destinations, seven in Tanzania and an additional three in Nairobi, Entebbe and Hahaya.

Fitch Revises Tanzania Outlook to Positive, Affirms ‘B+’ Rating, Forecasts GDP Growth of 5.8% in 2026 Driven by Tourism and Mining

Fitch Ratings revised Tanzania's outlook to positive from stable while affirming the sovereign rating at 'B+', citing strengthening reserves and a gradual decline in government debt, warning, however, that the credit rating remains constrained by weak governance and low government revenue. The agency forecasts real GDP growth of 5.8% in 2026 and an average of 6.1% in 2027 and 2028, driven by public investment, tourism, the country's role as a regional logistics hub, and expansion in the mining sector.
