Tanzania Comoros Relations

Tanzania and the Comoros cooperate in various economic and social sectors and have the potential to further deepen this cooperation in the areas of commerce, culture, education, health, fisheries, aviation, and transportation.

In July 2016, the Comorian President, Azali Assoumani, visited Tanzania and committed to strengthening bilateral relations with focus on business, health and education.

Tanzania Comoros Trade Summit

The first Tanzania Comoros Trade Summit was held on 23rd April 2015. It aimed at promoting trade initiatives to improve business environment, formalize trade and strengthen economic ties between the two countries.

The 2015 Trade Summit gathered political leaders and businessman from both countries to discuss business and investment opportunities in Tanzania and the Comoros.

The summit is expected to be held on annual basis.
