Tanzania Investment Center Launches New Website

Tanzania Investement Center (TIC), the Tanzanian Government’s one-stop-agency for investors, officially launched its new online portal http://www.tic.co.tz.

TIC’s new website is a single platform for foreign and domestic investors, to access all necessary and relevant information for making investments in Tanzania, and to further simplify and strengthen the investment process.

Tanzania Prime Minister, Hon. Mizengo Pinda commemorated the TIC website this week at the Tanzania-China Business Forum in the Chinese city of Guangzhou.

The launched portal is part of an on-going and concerted effort to improve the investment climate in Tanzania, and help prospective and actual investors to navigate the administrative process in Tanzania and provide them with up-to-date, reliable information.

For example, the website indicates the time and fees required to complete each administrative step of the investment process- helping to eliminate any confusion.

The website also contains detailed explanations of almost 30 procedures and over 136 formalities that are essential information for businesspeople considering investing in Tanzania.

Furthermore, more than 138 documents and forms, as well as 38 legal justifications are available, as well as contact information for over 20 public institutions and 88 civil servants who aid entrepreneurs in navigating through the investment process in Tanzania.

All information is kept updated by the TIC Team, which also ensures that the information is officially approved and user queries are answered swiftly and precisely.

TIC is among the first investment promotion agencies in the SADC region to provide this level of detailed information, demonstrating their commitment to the process of “e-Regulations” and the digitization of government administrative processes.
