United Arab Emirates Embassy In Tanzania Launches Official Website

United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) Embassy to Tanzania has launched the UAE Embassy’s website for his representation in the country last week.

The new website is accessible through the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ (MOFA) website under the UAE Missions/UAE Embassies section.

The UAE Embassy in Dar es Salaam aims to develop its services in Tanzania for both locals and UAE Citizens, as well as contributing to the promotion and development of the UAE Mission in the country.

The websites highlights the UAE attractiveness seeking to promote the tourism to its country, the bilateral relationships between Tanzania and the UAE, useful information for business and trade between both countries, and services such as legalizations for UAE citizens, Visas for Tanzanians and residents , and Twajudi, an online electronic system to promote the safety of UAE citizens abroad.

UAE is among the Tanzania’s top five import partners headed by China representing 12% of total imports, followed by Switzerland (8.8%), South Africa (8.5%), UAE (8.4%), and India (7.6%).

According to the UAE National Bureau of Statistics, Tanzania is the most important destinations for UAE exports in Africa representing 12.87% of all UAE’s exports to the continent, followed by Somalia (12.47%) and Libya (10.24%).

The UAE Mission in Dar es Salaam started in 2005 with the appointment of the first Ambassador to Tanzania, Excellency Mallallah Mubarak Al-Ameiri and has since enhanced with the opening of the UAE premises in 2011, and the new consular services building opened in 2013.

The current Ambassador, Excellency Abdullah Ibrahim Al Suwaidi started his term on 11th April, 2009, after the UAE Government decided to crown his military and diplomatic past activities.

Tanzania and Türkiye Sign Double Taxation Agreement to Unlock USD 1 Billion Bilateral Investment Target

Tanzania and Türkiye have signed two Double Taxation Agreements (DTAs) at a ceremony in Dar es Salaam, marking the 13th such treaty for Tanzania and closing a long-standing gap in the bilateral economic framework that already included a 2011 Bilateral Investment Treaty. The agreements support a joint trade and investment roadmap valued at USD 1 billion, building on bilateral trade of USD 281.68 million recorded after President Samia Suluhu Hassan's 2024 visit to Türkiye.
