Tanzanian Tigo is yet another of the country’s mobile operators to launch the Fourth Generation 4G mobile technology which will enable cellphones and tablets to access efficient broadband internet services.
The Fourth Generation 4G mobile technology is a significant upgrade from previous models, with a bigger increase in data transfer speed resulting in the broad high-user media usage that can be accessed using 4G.
Tigo General Manager, Diego Gutierrez said “We recognize our customers’ ever changing demands and need for better, faster and quality internet services and are constantly seeking to provide them with the best user experience in all our products in the most affordable way possible.”
“This innovation is part of our on-going network upgrade programme” he added.
In their attempt to pursue innovation and keeping ahead in Tanzania’s highly competitive and innovate mobile network environment, Tiga introduced the 42Mbps super-fast Internet speed while offering top notch customer service.
A tigo Subscriber ; Mercy Swai said that she was thrilled with the news of the launch, it meant downloading large data over wireless network would now be quicker and more efficient and conducting video conferences could now be hassle-free, this is a huge plus for businesses.
MIC Tanzania Limited (Tigo) is the oldest wireless Telecommunications company in Tanzania with 13.6% market share in the country and covers about 50% of the total population in Tanzania.
