Fastjet Adds Direct Route To Uganda: Dar Es Salaam – Entebbe

Fastjet has announced the launch of a direct route between Dar es Salaam and the Uganda capital of Entebbe, making it the fourth international route for the Tanzania-based airline.

Fastjet Tanzania already operates direct international flights from Dar es Salaam to Johannesburg, Lusaka, and Harare with flights to Entebbe now on sale for USD 50 and set to begin on September 16, 2014.

According to CEO and interim chairman of Fastjet, Ed Winter, the launch of the Uganda route is expected to stimulate new business and generate tourism in Uganda.

“Fastjet is delighted with this opportunity to enter the Ugandan market and the support it has received from the Ugandan government and authorities. We look forward to commencing flights and hope this is the beginning of a wider Fastjet network from Entebbe.”

Flights to Uganda will run two days a week for the first two weeks of September and are expected increase to four flights a week on September 29.
