The trading week ending Friday, 14th March 2025, at the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) saw a decline in market activity, with turnover dropping by -28.65% to TZS 6,144.91 million from 3,225,692 shares traded. JHL led the gainers with a 6.16% increase in its stock price, while NICO was the biggest loser, declining by -14.86%.

During Week 11 of 2025, the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) recorded a total turnover of TZS 6,144.91 million from 3,225,692 shares traded across 3,126 deals.

This represents a -28.65% decrease in turnover compared to TZS 8,612.56 million recorded in Week 10, while trading volume decreased by -30.43% from 4,636,905 shares traded the previous week.

Market Capitalization

At the end of Week 11, 2025, the total market capitalization at the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) stood at TZS 19,227.00 billion, reflecting a -0.72% decrease from TZS 19,367.02 billion recorded in Week 10.

Meanwhile, domestic market capitalization slightly declined to TZS 12,808.54 billion, marking a -0.07% drop from TZS 12,817.39 billion in the previous week.

Bond Market

The bond market recorded a total turnover of TZS 171.01 billion across 138 deals during Week 11 of 2025, reflecting a -2.72% decrease compared to TZS 175.79 billion in Week 10.

Trading activity was dominated by 15-year and 20-year bonds, which accounted for the majority of the turnover.

There was limited activity in the corporate bond segment, with only one 5-year bond traded for a total turnover of TZS 35.00 million.

Week 11 of 2025 saw a decline across most indices at the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE). The All Share Index (DSEI) dropped by -0.72%, while the Tanzania Share Index (TSI) fell by -0.07%.
