Equity Turnover and Volume

Equity turnover reached TZS 17.77 billion, up +89.45% from the previous week’s TZS 9.38 billion. Share volume increased to 12.49 million from 7.83 million, a +59.52% change.

CRDB led the trading activity with 8.43 million shares traded, followed by KCB with 1.50 million shares, and DCN with 1.18 million. Together, these two counters accounted for 89% of the week’s total equity volume.

The Commercial Services Index (CS) led with +1.35%, followed by the Banks, Finance & Investment Index (BI) at +0.97%, the Tanzania Share Index (TSI) at +0.66%, and the All-Share Index (DSEI) at +0.50%, while the Industrial & Allied Index (IA) declined -0.05%.
