Air Tanzania Resumes Dar Es Salaam – Mwanza Flight

Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL), Tanzanian national airline, has resumed flights on the route Dar es Salaam – Mwanza, Northwest region of the country on 15th August, 2015.

The route was suspended in August last year, when the company decided to stop all domestic flights due to technical issues as was announced on its website.

The national airline will flight twice a day with a capacity to carry 50 passengers per trip and is set to be a better option for mostly business people whom need shorter trips and better services on board, explained ATCL Acting Public Relations Officer, Ms. Lily Fungamtama.

ATCL is Tanzania’s state-run airline relaunched after the dissolution of the partnership with South African Airways (SAA) in 2007 and that started covering the route Dar es Salaam – Mwanza via Kilimanjaro.

Currently ATCL is operating on three domestic routes from/to Dar es Salaam.

Kigoma which is a western port city and is covered five times a week, and Mtwara, southeastern port city with available flights twice a week.
