TANZANIA OIL & GAS CONGRESS 2017

The first annual Tanzania Oil & Gas Congress will take place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, The Kilimanjaro, from 11th-12th September 2017.

The Congress will explore the current issues facing the energy sector, highlighting the latest developments and opportunities for existing and new industry players.

The inaugural Tanzania Oil & Gas Congress is the only strategic event with official support from the Ministry of Energy and Minerals and the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC).

The event will offer participants invaluable networking opportunities with government representatives and industry stakeholders from surrounding areas including Zanzibar, Uganda, Mozambique, Kenya and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) has reached 82% overall completion as of April 2026, with construction progressing across pipeline sections, pump stations, and the Chongoleani Marine Terminal in Tanga. Tanzania Seeks Strategies to Revitalize Petroleum Exploration Activities

The Ministry of Energy instructed the Petroleum Upstream Regulatory Authority (PURA) and Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) to seek strategies to revitalize petroleum exploration activities in Tanzania and add investment blocks.
