BG Ups Natural Gas Estimates for Tanzania

BG recently raised its gross recoverable natural gas estimates in Tanzania to 13 trillion cubic feet.

The announcement follows BG’s eighth consecutive offshore findings in Tanzania in July.

Latest BG’s estimates were at 10 trillion cubic feet.

In line with these findings the Group is due to build an onshore liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant.

Tanzania Completes First Large-Scale 50 MW Kishapu Solar Power Plant With Grid Connection Planned for March 2026

Tanzania has completed the 50 MW Kishapu solar power plant in Shinyanga, with full integration into the national grid expected by March 2026. The project, financed with TZS 118.6 billion, marks the country’s first large-scale solar facility, with a second 100 MW phase planned at a cost of TZS 200.4 billion.
