African Life Assurance Tanzania Launches Travel Life Cover

African Life Assurance, the leading life insurer in Tanzania has teamed up with Ndege Insurance to launch an innovative mobile-phone-linked travel life insurance policy. 

The new product branded “Safari Njema” is tailored for travelers from all walks of life.

This service takes advantage of the large mobile phone subscriber base of over 22 million to avail access to travel life assurance conveniently.

African Life Assurance estimates indicate that thousands of Tanzanians die every year due to travel accidents and most of the victims do not have any form of life insurance.

Speaking at the product launch, Mr. Julius Magabe, CEO of African Life Assurance, stated that, “Launch of Safari Njema is manifestation of African Life’s commitment in making a better life possible for everyone in Tanzania.

With an affordable premium of Tshs 5,000 Safari Njema isn’t a luxury but an important product for everyone who is travelling from one place to the other in their daily endeavors or on long distance via any mode of transport’’.

On his part, Ndege Insurance Managing Director Dr. Sebastian Ndege said ‘’Safari Njema is a tailor made product that has been brought into fruition in collaboration with African Life.

We have put together our combined expertise and extensive experience to come up with a product that is perfectly tuned to the Tanzanian market”.
