Arusha, hub to Tanzania’s northern safari tourism circuit will see the development a shopping mall valued at USD 12 Million.
The project will be jointly developed by the Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC), the government owned leading conference venue in Tanzania, and the Local Authorities Pensions Fund (LAPF) a social security institution.
The shopping mall will cover an area of 7,000 sqm, and will include a wide range of facilities such as supermarkets, restaurants, banks and tourism related company offices.
It is believed the facility will be the most modern and largest shopping outlet in the fast growing northern region of Tanzania.
According to Mr Elishilia Kaaya, Managing Director of the Arusha International Conference Centre, a joint venture company will be registered to execute the project as soon as pending procedural matters are sorted.
