The Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) signed a 5–year Partnership Action Plan (PAP) for capacity building with the Canadian Executive Service Organization (CESO), on 17th June 2016.
The PAP will allow TPSF to bring Canadian business experts to Tanzania to assist all private sector business operations in the country over 5 years.
Canadian experts will provide technical assistance to specific TPSF members, while training seminars will be open to all TPSF members and stakeholders.
Expert services will be provided in both hard and soft skills. Soft skill training will include business presentations, report writing, and time management.
Hard skill training will include smart advocacy and lobbying, public private dialogue, business and strategic planning, project proposals, project management, cash flow and debt collection, operations efficiency, ISO standards, sales and marketing, branding.
“This type of technical support provided by CESO will be one of the resources envisaged to enhance the capacity of TPSF to deliver services that add value to its members and the private sector in general”, TPSF’s press release indicates.
TPSF serves as an apex for private sector advocacy in Tanzania, while CESO has over 700 Canadian experts, volunteering to provide assistance to businesses, governments and non-profit organizations around the world.
