South Korea to Invest in Tanzanian Tourism Sector

The Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) and Africa Future Forum (AFF) signed a pact on September 6th, 2013 to work together in increasing South Korean investments in Tanzania’s tourism sector.

AFF is a South Korean organization that provides overhead capitol support for development projects throughout Africa.

Dr. Aloyce Nzuki, managinng director of TTB, stated that Tanzania’s tourism sector has been on the rise since December 2012 when the nation was recognized by global tourist organizations as having three out of seven of the best natural wonders in Africa.

He stressed that more hotels need to be built in Tanzania, and that any South Koreans interested in investing here will be assisted by the TTB, Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, as well as the Tanzanian Investment Center.

A Tanzanian tourism center was also been opened in Seoul, South Korea for promotions and advertising, as well as to strengthen friendships and work relations between Tanzanians and South Koreans.
