          Tanzania's financial markets in the week to 25 September 2026 saw the interbank 7-day weighted average rate rise to 6.79% from 6.72%, with money market volume climbing to TZS 867.55 billion and the shilling easing 0.16% to TZS 2,645.45 per US dollar. The Treasury bills auction drew TZS 514.54 billion in bids against TZS 388.70 billion offered, while outstanding government securities reached TZS 33,342.80 billion.
