During Week 17, the DSE recorded a total turnover of TZS 3,570.64 million from 4,456,445 shares traded across multiple deals. The week had four trading days. Turnover decreased by -49.03% compared to Week 16’s TZS 7,004.80 million, and trading volume decreased by -76.23% from 18,748,186 shares traded the previous week.

Market Capitalization

At the close of Week 17, the total market capitalization stood at TZS 18,923.42 billion, a slight increase of 0.10% from Week 16’s TZS 18,903.75 billion. Domestic market capitalization was TZS 12,974.04 billion, a marginal decrease of -0.08% from Week 16’s TZS 12,984.58 billion.

Bond Market

The bond market recorded a total turnover of TZS 11.81 billion across numerous deals during Week 17, representing a -93.67% decrease compared to Week 16’s TZS 186.28 billion. Government bonds continued to dominate trading activity, with strong investor interest across various maturities.

Indexes

Week 17 saw mixed index performance at the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE). The DSE All Share Index (DSEI) was the only index to increase, rising slightly by 0.10%. The Tanzania Share Index (TSI) declined marginally by -0.08%, the Industrial & Allied Index (IA) decreased by -0.17%, and the Banks, Finance & Investment Index (BI) edged down by -0.02%. The Commercial Services Index (CS) remained unchanged.

Stock Performances
