Among movers, MBP advanced +17.39%, PAL gained +11.11%, and NMG rose +7.84%, while NMB fell -87.97%, MCB declined -8.14%, and DCB lost -7.92%. Tanzania Capital Markets Value Jumps 46% to TZS 75.5 Trillion in Q2 2026

Tanzania's capital markets grew 46.09% year-on-year to TZS 75,496.86 billion in the quarter ended 30 June 2026, up from TZS 51,679.11 billion at 30 June 2025, as total market capitalization rose 79.11% to TZS 35,175.40 billion and equity turnover surged 227.3% to TZS 496.8 billion across 528,031 deals. Banking counters NMB and CRDB drove more than 90% of trading, the DSE All Share Index gained 72.0% to 4,048.80 points, ETF market capitalization expanded 1,678.9% to TZS 187.5 billion, and collective investment scheme assets climbed 74.82% to TZS 6,021.17 billion.
