According to CORE Securities Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) Weekly Market Report for the week ended Friday October 30th 2015, the market total turnover was TZS 28,052,205,540.

The total market capitalisation reached TZS 20,974.56 billion down by 0.27% compared to the previous week’s close at TZS 21,031.82 billion.

A total of 2,174,219 shares were transacted in 217 trades.

The Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange All Share Index (DSEI) closed at 2,394.50 points down by 0.27% compared to the previous week’s close of 2,401.08 points.

In the bond market, there were not Treasury tenders registered during the week ended 30/10/2015.

The volumes for Treasuries offered in the week were TZS 3,000 million for 35 days, TZS 15,000 million for 91 days, TZS 52,000 million for 182 days, and TZS 65,000 million for 364 days.

The BOT bank rate was 12.0%, prime rate was 14.99%.

On Friday October 30th 2015, the value of the United States Dollar (USD) against the Tanzanian shilling (TZS) was USD 1 = TZS 2,155.55 (-0.19%).

On October 30th 2015, Bank Of Zambia (BOZ) 35 days treasury bill yielded a 7.35% interest, 91 days treasury bill yielded a 10.03% interest, 182 days treasury bill yielded a 15.13% interest, and 364 days treasury bill yielded a 15.98% interest.
