During Week 16, the DSE recorded a total turnover of TZS 7,004.80 million from 18,748,186 shares traded across multiple deals. The week had four trading days due to Good Friday on 18th April. Turnover increased by 45.53% compared to Week 15’s TZS 4,813.16 million, while trading volume surged by 689.84% from 2,373,651 shares traded the previous week.

Market Capitalization

At the close of Week 16, the total market capitalization stood at TZS 18,903.75 billion, reflecting a -0.83% decrease from Week 15’s TZS 19,062.30 billion. Domestic market capitalization was TZS 12,984.58 billion, a slight increase of 0.01% from Week 15’s TZS 12,983.30 billion.

Bond Market

The bond market recorded a turnover of TZS 186.28 billion across numerous deals during Week 16, representing a 33.86% increase compared to Week 15’s TZS 139.15 billion.
