The Banks, Finance & Investment Index led with a 4.60% advance, the Industrial & Allied Index lagged at −0.98%, NMG rallied 16.67% and MCB fell −4.17%.

Turnover and Volume

Equity turnover reached TZS 27.13 bn, up +94.48% from the previous week’s TZS 13.95 bn. Share volume increased to 17.70 m from 14.90 m, a +18.73% jump.

CRDB dominated trading with 13.68 m shares, followed by TBL (1.81 m) and KCB (1.06 m) – together accounting for 93% of the week’s volume.

Domestic market capitalisation advanced +1.86% to TZS 13,032.72 bn from TZS 12,795.19 bn.

Bond Market

Bond turnover totalled TZS 310.77 bn, up +45.25% from Week 26’s TZS 213.96 bn.

Government securities supplied about TZS 310.69 bn across 87 deals, led by a 20-year 15.25% tranche worth TZS 67.67 bn (3 Jul), a 10-year 11.44% issue of TZS 30.60 bn (4 Jul), and a 25-year 15.75% placement of TZS 25.44 bn (4 Jul).

Corporate bonds added roughly TZS 0.08 bn from 8 deals in 3- and 5-year notes with coupons of 9.50%–12.00%.

Indexes

The Banks, Finance & Investment Index led all benchmarks, gaining +4.60%, while the Industrial & Allied Index was the primary laggard at −0.98%. The All-Share Index edged up +0.17%, the Tanzania Share Index added +1.86%, and the Commercial Services Index rose +2.62%.

Stock Performances
