The African Export-Import Bank in collaboration with the Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority (ZIPA), the East Africa Business Council (EABC), and the Zanzibar National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) will be hosting a Zanzibar Trade and Investment Forum (ZTIF) in Zanzibar.

The main objective of the Forum will be to promote trade, investment, and finance opportunities between Zanzibar and the rest of Africa in the context of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

China Reiterates Support for Tanzania Infrastructure Projects, TAZARA, Water Supply, and Clean Cooking Initiatives With Concessional Financing

Tanzania's President Samia Suluhu Hassan met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Dar es Salaam to discuss expanding trade, improving visa arrangements, and cooperation on TAZARA and infrastructure projects. The talks reaffirmed China’s support for Tanzania’s priority sectors and long-term bilateral partnership.

Tanzania Monthly Economic Review November 2025: Exports Up 13.1% Driven by Gold (+42.1%), Manufactured Goods, Tobacco, Cashew Nuts, and Coffee

Tanzania's exports of goods and services increased to USD 17.5 billion in the year ending November 2025. Gold exports rose by 42.1% to USD 4.7 billion, transport earnings rose by 37.3% to USD 2,772.4 million, and tourist arrivals increased by 9.9% to 2,315,478.

Tanzania's exports of goods and services increased to USD 17,048.7 million in the year ending October 2025. Gold exports rose by 38.9% to USD 4,596.5 million, traditional exports improved by 25.2%, and tourist arrivals increased by 11.4% to 2,324,387, boosting travel receipts to USD 6,910.8 million.

Tanzania's exports of goods and services increased by 14.8% to USD 17,094.2 million in the year ending September 2025. Gold exports rose by 35.8% to USD 4,431.2 million, traditional exports improved by 38.3%, and tourist arrivals increased by 11.9% to 2,315,637, boosting travel receipts.
