Reasons for Investing in the Dodoma Region

Dodoma Region offers several attractive investment opportunities:

Natural Resources: Rich in agricultural potential and minerals, Dodoma provides diverse opportunities in agro-processing and mining.

Strategic Location: Located centrally in Tanzania, Dodoma provides easy access to various regions and neighboring countries via an expanding network of roads and railways.

Supportive Investment Climate: The Tanzanian government has introduced policies and frameworks that promote both local and foreign investments, including incentives and favorable trade regulations.

Regional Socio-Economic Profile

The Dodoma Region is located in the heart of Tanzania and serves as the country’s capital. Covering 41,311 square kilometers, the region is bordered by Manyara, Singida, Iringa, and Morogoro regions. Dodoma’s strategic location along Tanzania’s Central Corridor makes it an ideal hub for transport and business activities.

Dodoma Region is one of Tanzania’s 31 administrative regions. The regional capital is the city of Dodoma. According to the 2022 national census, the region had a population of 3,085,625, which is much more than the population in 2023 (2,083,588).

The region’s economy is primarily driven by agriculture, livestock farming, and emerging industrial sectors. With the national government relocating to Dodoma, significant investments in infrastructure and development have been made, making the region a top choice for investors.
