The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has announced a new cabinet for the 2025 term composed of 27 ministries with 27 ministers and 29 deputy ministers.
The appointments follow her nomination of former Finance Minister Mwigulu Nchemba as Prime Minister on 13 November.
The announcement was made on 17 November 2025 by the Chief Secretary, Ambassador Dr. Moses Kusiluka.
Seven ministers from the previous administration were not reappointed. They are the former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Dr. Doto Biteko, former Minister of Agriculture Hussein Bashe, former Minister of Home Affairs Innocent Bashungwa, former Minister of Health Jenista Mhagama, former Minister of Industry and Trade Dr. Seleman Jafo, former Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism Dr. Pindi Chana, and former Minister of Constitution and Legal Affairs Dr. Damas Ndumbaro. All seven will retain their parliamentary seats.
