Minister Kigoda Encourages Businesses at Dar Es Salaam International Trade Fair

While attending the 37th Dares Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), the Minister for Industry and Trade Dr Abdallah Kigoda invited the Tanzanian business community to take advantage of the show to expand business and create trade opportunities.

Minister Kigoda underlined how the international business community is now looking at Tanzania and for this for the first time Tanzania as a country has its own pavilion at the fair to showcase the country’s economy, as well as social and cultural framework. 

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade the presence of foreign countries at DIFT increased from 11 in 2012 to 32 this year.

Organised by TANTRADE, the Tanzania Trade Development Authority, the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair enjoys the patronage of the Tanzania business community who both exhibit and use it as a forum for business exchange.

The fair enjoys support of the Governement through the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The fair is also supported by the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (TCCIA) and the Confederation of Tanzania Industries (CTI) as well as other institutions in the country.
