Turkish Business Delegation Visited Tanzania To Boost Trade And Investments

A business delegation coordinated by Turkey’s Foreign Economic Relations Board (Deik) has visited Tanzania to boost investments and trade between the two countries.

The delegation follows the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) in 2014.

The MoU enabled the establishment of Turkish-Tanzania Business Council that connects businesses from the two nations.

 

TPSF Executive Director, Mr. Godfrey Simbeye indicated that Tanzania would like to cooperate with Turkish in different sectors such as agriculture, mining, tourism, infrastructure and energy as they advance in technology so their investment in these sectors will support to improve economic growth.

The Chairman of Turkish-Tanzania Business Council Mr. Atakan Giray said the aim is to increase Turkey investment to Tanzania and to enable benefit too both sides.

According to the Council’s Commercial Counselor at Turkey’s Embassy, Yilmaz Akcinar, more than 40 Turkish companies are doing business in Tanzania and that makes the trade volume between the two countries stood at approximately USD 184 million in 2014.
