Tanzania and Uganda Launch Airline Partnership

Tanzania’s domestic airline, Precision Air, has now established a code share partnership with Air Uganda, the national carrier.

The partnership which came into operation this month covers two routes; Dar es Salaam – Entebbe and Kilimanjaro – Entebbe.

Under the agreement, the two airlines will both sell tickets and uplift passengers of either airline, while offering travellers with increased choice of flights between the two cities.

Commenting on the partnership Precision Air Commercial Director Mr. Patrick Ndekana added “We are also certain this partnership will support our government efforts to boost tourism due to the increase of frequencies which guarantee reliability”.

Precision Air is the leading airline in Tanzania and flies to ten destinations, seven in Tanzania and an additional three in Nairobi, Entebbe and Hahaya.

Tanzania’s economic performance in 2025 recorded real GDP growth of 6.4% in Q3, stable inflation at 3.6%, and strong private sector credit expansion of 23.5%, while lending rates moderated to 15.24%. Exports of goods and services rose by 10.2%, led by gold exports increasing 37.4% to about USD 4.7 billion, while international tourist arrivals reached 2.29 million.
